When computer programmers see a small pointy thing, we assume it’s the tip of an iceberg or the thin end of a wedge. But sometimes it’s just a small pointy thing.
We believe so strongly in the magic of the automated tool to transform a problem that we start to see all problems as pervasive, or huge, or recurrent. We know that when a problem is localized, small, or unique, building an automated tool is a waste of work. But we just love building automated tools - that’s why we’re in this line of work.
